Manuela Caldas

Outreach Associate

Manuela has built her career at the intersection of storytelling, sustainability, and environmental education. She earned dual degrees in Digital Communication and Sustainability and the Environment from Florida International University, and her path has taken her from the Rachel Carson Council in Washington, D.C., where she led a campaign on South Florida’s water issues, to The Education Fund in Miami, where she blended media production with environmental education, and to PERC in Montana, where she developed storytelling and outreach materials on incentive-based conservation. Guided by the belief that stories can foster stewardship, Manuela uses her camera to help others connect more deeply with the natural world. When she’s not behind a camera, she can be found hiking, photographing, or exploring the outdoors with her doggy, Mara.
