Elly has wandered the western half of the country since 2015. After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Philosophy, her career path meandered from bank teller, to consumer advocate, to literacy tutor, before discovering she could get people to pay her for being outside. She has since held several field-based roles on a variety of conservation projects in the Southwest, with Wild Arizona being the most recent. Through each of these experiences, Elly has cultivated a passion for the intersection between community, stewardship, and reflection, and continues to ask herself the big questions. She finds joy in hot coffee, gentle breezes, good books, weird looking bugs, and the sound of footsteps on dirt.
